What conditions can successfully be treated with herbal medicine?

Herbal medicines may be employed  in a wide range of both short-term and long-term conditions, alone or alongside other therapies (including orthodox medicine). Particularly suitable are conditions where conventional medicines are not appropriate, cause unacceptable side effects, are not fully effective.
However in some cases orthodox treatment is necessary and beneficial and herbal medicine is an adjusct to treatment

The following list give some examples of such conditions:

Digestive/urinary: acid reflux, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, some cases of inflammatory bowel disease and gallbladder disease, recurrent cystitis or thrush, prostate problems

Allergic: hay fever, rhinitis and sinusitis, some cases of asthma

Women's problems: premenstrual syndrome, period problems, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, recurrent herpes or thrush

Joint problems: osteoarthritis, some cases of rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia

Stress: some cases of anxiety and depression, poor sleep

Skin: eczema, acne, urticaria

Hormonal: hypothyroidism (not an alternative to thyroxine), Type 2 diabetes (usually in addition to orthodox treatment)

Cardiovascular:
angina, heart failure (milder cases, usually in addition to orthodox treatment)

General: fatigue illnesses, recurrent infections (e.g. chest infections, urinary infections, migraine, cold sores)

This is not an exhaustive list. If your condition does not appear here please enquire and I will advise you about the likelihood of successful treatment.
